I set my alarm last night and woke up just before, thanks to Sophia, who almost never misses a sunrise. We had our morning cuddles in bed before reluctantly going downstairs for breakfast. After careful wardrobe selection and a cute ponytail, Sophia was ready, and we hopped into the car. Thanks to the lack of traffic and some back streets, we arrived on time and I quietly praised being able to park right outside Sophia’s preschool gate. I wondered for a moment why the street seemed so quiet. Then I noticed one of the other preschool Mums approaching – to inform me that she’d made the same mistake as me, and school doesn’t start until tomorrow. Cue disappointed tears from my girl and just a little frustration from me (and a mental note to read newsletters properly in future!). So we packed ourselves off back home again, and spent the morning together. Not such a bad thing after all. I have loved the last two weeks of school holidays, and I was quietly glad to have my baby home just a few hours more. M x

No wonder you love having her home, she’s beautiful both inside and out!
The only thing photos are missing are a sound. I feel like I have followed you forever, and know every detail of Miss Sohpia’s face, I’d love to hear the sound of her little voice. We might have to arrange a chat between our two four year olds 😉
Mel these are really special photos of one extremely special little girl. xx
