Four times around the sun

And the long-awaited day came – the 17th day of March, St Patrick’s Day, and the fourth birthday of my beautiful fairy princess girl.  Despite my pleadings last night that she stop growing, she woke up this morning a year older, and couldn’t have been more excited!  Caught somewhere between missing the baby she was, and loving the girl she is becoming, so am I.

I’m full of pride for this gentle, sensitive, considerate and loving little person who takes my heart with her wherever she goes.  How blessed we are to have her.

Happy birthday, my darling Sophia!  I hope your every wish comes true.
