Appreciation

There’s so much to love about right now.

The way she runs to hide whenever she hears someone coming, so she can jump out and say “Boo!” when they appear!

Her desire for independence, because she’s a “big girl” and can do it by herself.

Her love of all things sparkly, pink, fairy and princess.  And her headband with the bow on it.

Ballet.  Ballet.  Ballet.  And a little more ballet.

The spontaneous “I love you” that never fails to melt me and can turn the worst day upside down.

Red shoes.  Or more, ‘Dorothy shoes’.  Any pair of shiny red shoes fits the bill and gets her full attention.

Tea parties and picnics.  There’s always one to be found somewhere in the house.

Her beautiful seriousness and her sunshine smile.

And waking up in the morning to see her exclaim, “It’s morning!” as if it is the most wonderful day and she can’t wait for it to start.  I can’t wait to spend it with her.

The spontaneous “I love you” is the best.
I love the colouring in these photos and the third pic is my favourite – her expression and the composition are perfect.
