Some things remain

I raced outside to take a quick photo this afternoon, as Sophia and her Daddy were leaving the house.  Sophia was on Andrew’s back in the sling, and it hit me –  that it has been two whole years since we started using that very same sling!  We had trouble with Sophia’s sleep from early on and she always settled better when we held her.  Buying a sling was a great investment and Sophia went everywhere in it, so small at first that she fit entirely inside…  It feels like yesterday that she was our new baby (oh, for that baby smell!) and I still have to pinch myself when I think of her as being 2.  She has grown into an amazing, radiant little girl who is fiercely independent, and when it feels like it’s all happening in the blink of an eye, it’s comforting to see that some things still remain.  M x
